Genetic Information for Treatment, Surveillance and Support (GIFTSS)
This program is open to individuals from Massachusetts. The program provides a voucher for free testing to those who qualify. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria. Funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Applicant’s household income is below 400% of the federal poverty level (FPL)
- Applicant has health insurance (including federal programs)
- Applicant can show proof of Massachusetts residency
- Applicant’s doctor, healthcare provider or genetic counselor determines that applicant meets the medical criteria for the test(s). National guidelines for medical determination:National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). When medical criteria are not available through NCCN or USPSTF, your healthcare provider will need to provide medical justification for the test.
