Memorial & Tribute Gifts
Make an Individual Gift in the Name of a Loved One
You can make a donation online or by completing CRF Donation Form and mailing it to our address. On the form you will identify the person(s) you are remembering or honoring along with your donation. If you would like CRF to notify the family or honoree of your gift, please include their name and address as well.
Setup a Memorial Fund
If you would like to direct family and friends to make a donation in lieu of flowers, you may contact our staff to set up a memorial fund. Please call Christina McCarthy, at 508-630-2242 or email Christina.firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about memorial funds. If you would like the fund to support a specific area or program at CRF, please indicate this when you call. CRF will send an acknowledgment letter to all donors who give to the organization. We will also notify the designated next-of-kin when directed to. You may provide these instructions to family and friends who wish to donate to a memorial fund:
“Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Cancer Resource Foundation, Inc. 225 Cedar Hill Street, Suite 200, Marlborough, MA 01752. Checks may be made payable to the Cancer Resource Foundation, Inc. with indication that they are in memory of [name]. Or call (508) 630-2242 for more information about the organization.”
Other Ways to Give
Gifts of Stock
Your accountant or broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via direct transfer to the Cancer Resource Foundation, Inc. Giving a gift of publically traded stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provider greater market value of the stock and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. You may also save by not incurring brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock.
